Ladypool Road Renovation and New Build

It started with a redundant office on the Ladypool Road. Previous proposals suggested complete demolition and rebuild in the style of the Victorian retails units adjacent. We said Reuse! (repurpose and add a floor to the frontage).

Another challenging, interesting and prolonged planning application, Red Bear Landscape (working with Plan Associates Ltd) got involved around Jun 2023 initially to take an overview of the original proposed design which was struggling to impress the LPA. Through a series of meetings with the LPA and various sketches examining form, blocking, retention of more of the existing building and examining the detail both in the existing building facade and the new proposals we submitted this final design. We heard today that Planning Permission has been granted (photographs below are from internet sources, not our own).
